HPLC peptide purity and identity
High-performance liquid chromatography separates a peptide from related substances and degradation products. Purity is reported as the main peak’s share of the total, and identity is confirmed against a reference standard by retention time. The same run supports a quantitative assay, so you learn how much peptide is actually present, not just whether it is there.
Amino acid analysis for peptides
Hydrolysing a peptide and profiling its amino acids by HPLC confirms that the composition matches the expected sequence ratios, and it exposes cheap amino acids added to inflate protein or peptide claims. For collagen peptides we add hydroxyproline-based methods that separate true collagen from other nitrogen sources.
Safety testing for peptide products
A peptide can be pure and still fail on safety. We run heavy metals by ICP-MS (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury), microbial limits under USP <61>/<62>, and residual solvents under USP <467>, and report everything on one signed Certificate of Analysis.
Choosing a peptide testing lab
